Q1. How many times can you refill a cartridge?

Most cartridges, if in good condition (ie: if the print-head's not scratched, smudged with ink, or has been left out to dry
) can be refilled many times. We had a Canon BC-02 which we refilled 72 times!

Q2. If you use non-original ink in your printer will the printer's warranty be voided?

It is your right as a consumer to choose the brand of ink for your printer. Using Calidad ink in the correct way in the correct
printer will not void the printer's warranty.

Q3. What is the Calidad guarantee?

In the unlikely event that a printer is damaged by a Calidad product, when used according to Calidad's or the printer
manufacturer's instructions, Calidad will repair or replace the printer.

Q4. Why choose Calidad inkjet cartridges or refillers over other alternative inkjet products?

Calidad inkjet products are quality products, which have been extensively researched to work perfectly with each
individual printer brand and model. They are easy-to-use and deliver printouts comparable to that of OEM products,
whilst saving the consumer up to 80% on the original cartridge cost.

Q5. Is Calidad's ink exactly the same as the original manufacturer's ink?

No. Calidad researches and develops inks which are specially formulated to deliver a result as close as possible to
the original manufacturer's ink, however the ink is not the same.

Q6. Is the print result comparable to that of an OEM cartridge?

Yes, whether printing in black or full colour, the print result from Calidad products is crisp and bright. It is hard to see
the difference between a picture printed with Calidad inks or printed with inks from an original cartridge.

Q7. Why isn't there a Calidad alternative cartridge for all original carts?

The design of these cartridges includes the printhead in the cartridge itself (other cartridges are '"ink tank" type where
the printhead is built into the printer, and not part of the cartridge itself). These Canon, Lexmark and Hewlett Packard
cartridges are patented. Calidad is unable to produce alternatives. Calidad supplies Refillers for these cartridges so
they can be recycled with a cost saving of up to 80% on original cartridge costs. Calidad also supplies Calidad Green
Recharged cartridges for some HP and Lexmark printers, which are used original cartridges, which have been cleaned
and refilled with quality Calidad inks. These Calidad Green cartridges offer around a 30% saving on the new original
cartridge prices.

Q8. Some printers use standard colors and others use photo colors. Why is this the case?

Printers with standard colors (C,M,Y,K) are mainly designed for standard office printing. Photo printers usually come
with 5 or 6 ink chambers (additional Photo M and Photo C) and are designed to output photorealistic print quality. For
these photo printers you must have all 5 or 6 colors in the printer for it to work.

Q9. What is the difference between standard and photo color?

The main difference is the concentration of dye in the ink. Photo printers usually deliver a wider color range than
standard 4-color printers. Photo color is lighter and has a greater range of color shades, delivering a more realistic
picture printout.
